BMI Course Cancellation & Refund Policy

Building Moisture Inspection, LLC. (BMI) Course Cancellation & Refund Policy

 

To maintain fairness, transparency, and continuity in course operations, the following Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to all students enrolling in the Building Moisture Inspection (BMI) course. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Student-Initiated Cancellation (in writing only)

 

1.1 Cancellation More Than 30 Days Before the Course

Students who cancel 30 days or more before the scheduled course start date are eligible for a:

  • Full refund, minus a $100 administrative processing fee, OR

  • 100% credit toward a future BMI course (no processing fee).

1.2 Cancellation 15–30 Days Before the Course

Cancellations made 15–30 days before the course start date qualify for:

  • 100% credit toward a future BMI course (processing fee waived).

1.3 Cancellation 14 Days or Less Before the Course

Cancellations within 14 days of the course start date are:

  • Non-refundable, but may receive

  • 50% credit toward a future BMI course at the discretion of Building Moisture Inspection, LLC.

1.4 No-Show Policy

Students who fail to attend without prior written notice are considered no-shows and are:

  • Not eligible for a refund,

  • Not eligible for course credit,

  • Required to re-register at full price for any future sessions.

2. Substitution of Attendee (in writing only)

A student may substitute another attendee at no cost, provided:

  • The substitution request is made at least 7 days before the course start date.

  • The replacement student meets all prerequisites and agrees to the BMI Terms & Conditions and the BMI Course Manual Agreement as agreed to by the original student.

Substitutions within 7 days may be granted at the discretion of Building Moisture Inspection, LLC.

 

3. Course Rescheduling, Postponement, or Cancellation by Building Moisture Inspection LLC

Building Moisture Inspection, LLC reserves the right to:

  • Reschedule the course

  • Modify course dates

  • Change instructors

  • Convert the course to an online format

  • Cancel the course entirely due to low enrollment, instructor availability, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control

3.1 If BMI Cancels the Course

Students may choose between:

  • A full refund, OR

  • A full credit toward a future BMI course

No administrative fees will be applied.

BMI is not responsible for travel or lodging expenses, airline changes, or any other costs incurred by the student.

4. Refund Processing

Approved refunds:

  • Will be issued to the original payment method

  • Typically take 7–14 business days to process

  • May take additional time depending on the student’s bank/payment provider

5. How to Request a Cancellation, Transfer, or Refund

All requests must be submitted in writing via email to:

Requests must include:

  • Student name

  • Course date enrolled

  • Order number (if applicable)

  • Reason for the request

7. Special Circumstances

Building Moisture Inspection, LLC may, at its sole discretion, grant exceptions for emergencies.

 

8. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Shipping fees for course materials

  • Costs for replacement manuals

  • Fees paid to third-party testing centers (if applicable)

  • Optional add-ons or digital resources once accessed/downloaded

  • Discounts, promotions, or coupons applied at checkout

9. Acknowledgment & Agreement

By enrolling in or attending the BMI course, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by this Terms and Conditions Agreement, including all policies.
